J.V.N.R Vidyanikethan school, Nirmal, is an English medium secondary school, affiliated to the school of secondary education, Hyderabad. The school was inaugurated in the year 2003 and affiliated to the board of secondary education.
Sri P. Narsa Reddy Garu (Former Revenue minister of Ap., Ex. MP & Former president of Exhibition Society.) proposed to Exhibition Society to establish an ITI to serve backward people of Adilabad District.
Few years later they got an idea to establish a school in backward areas of adilabad district particularly in Nirmal town to give the quality English Medium education for the students with low fees.
At the time of establishing the school there is a discussion about the name of school, they got an idea about JOGINAPALLY VENKATA NARSING RAO GARU who is from Adilabad Dist , Dwaraka (village) near Lakshettipet. Who was the deputy CM in the year 1971-72 from the backward adilabad district. He was the person who fought for establishing the electricity in Nirmal constituency and few developmental works are also taken up by him. So, for his struggles, achievements and to mark his name, our society kept the school name by J.V. NARSING RAO VIDYANIKETHAN SCHOOL [J.V.N.R]. In the beginning the school started with the strength of 80 students in the year 2003. At present the school strength is about 260.

Infrastructure
- Our school is existing in nearly 11 Acres with well established playground having basketball court, tennis courts, volleyball courts, Badminton, cricket ground , kho-kho, Kabaddi for outdoor games and table tennis, carom, chess etc for indoor games.
- Our school provides an environment where the students can learn a lot of basic skills.
- School is very spacious and well-ventilated class rooms and also the play ground with games equipment.
- For the safety and security of the children C.C. Cameras are installed in and around the school building.
- For communication with staff and children, public addressing system is installed.
- We have mineral water plant with R.O. principle and solar plant to curb the electricity charges.
- The school has transport facility in both local and non-local areas.

- Recently, our school has been started the live online classes for the students of higher sections from 6-10 classes.
- Apart from the academic curriculum, students have a choice of various activity-oriented subjects like drama, music, crafts, oil painting, karate etc.
- Excursions are arranged periodically for recreation and educational purposes.
- The school also has a well equipped library.
- The school has a state of the computer lab with L.C.D projector. Keeping pace with the changing times, IT Education is given priority and both teachers and students are exposed to computer education. All the teaching staff members are trained to conduct classes through computers.
